About the role 

  • Utilise your creativity in preparing exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and appearance
  • Working with a large hospitality company with multiple restaurants
  • Work closely with the Head and Executive Chefs to further your cooking skills and techniques
  • Work with the Head Chef to bring food and staff costs in on line
  • Motivate and manage a small kitchen brigade, ensuring speed of service for restaurant and function service
  • Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Follow all food safety procedures and legislation

  • Rotating Lunch and dinner shifts 

About you

  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery
  • Experienced in a fast paced bar or pre-theatre restaurant would be ideal
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be passionate and open to learning new skills in the kitchen
  • Hold valid working rights in Australia with the ability to work full time hours
