The Role

  • Utilise your creativity to prepare exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and quality
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to further develop your culinary skills and techniques
  • Assist with food and labour cost control in line with budgets
  • Supervise, motivate and support the kitchen brigade
  • Ensure speed, efficiency and consistency of service
  • Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Maintain all food safety standards and legislative requirements

 

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Strong hotel and event experience is essential; café experience is highly regarded
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment 
  • Passionate about food, quality and presentation
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Punctual, reliable and able to lead by example
  • Hold valid Australian working rights
