Senior Event Chef – The Fresh Collective

We are looking for a Senior Event Chef at our Redfern based catering company. We are predominantly focussed on the corporate sector, but also cater for private events including cocktail parties, weddings and dinners. The position will include cooking and presenting dishes in a variety of locations from commercial kitchen to to private residances. As such, confidence and the ability to produce quality food in unfamiliar environments is essential. About the Role

  • Work on-site in a range of premium venues across Sydney
  • Oversee the accurate and consistent preparation and presentation of all dishes at functions and events
  • Oversee a team of more junior chefs
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality menus
  • Work closely with Event Managers and Function Supervisors to meet all client needs
  • Check off all food and equipment on arrival to site, and before leaving site

 

About You

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • 4 years’+ experience in a 5-star hotel, large-scale restaurant or catering company
  • Passionate about producing quality dishes
  • Driven to achieve the highest standards in an efficient manner
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • Able to effectively manage and motivate a team of chefs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow standard recipes
