The Fresh Collective is looking for a Kitchen Steward with food preparation experience to join a close-knit team at their new venue in Sydney’s CBD. Working closely with the onsite head chef the Kitchen Steward will be integral to the smooth running of this café and function venue.   • Work alongside the chef assisting with food preparation
  • Ensure that the kitchen, storage areas, fridge and freezers are a high level of cleanliness
  • Cleaning of all kitchen equipment, utensils and kitchen surrounds
  • Casual position Monday – Friday (day shift only)
  • Ensuring that all Work Health and Safety Policies are followed
  • Continual work available for the right candidate
  • Start date: 6 January, 2020

Essential Requirements

  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment with knowledge of food hygiene
  • Previous experience in food preparation and cleaning is essential
  • Self-driven and autonomous whilst being open to direction
  • Personable, well presented, enthusiastic and reliable
  • Hard working, physically fit and reliable – able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • ‘Can do’ attitude and willingness to learn
  • In possession of a valid working visa, with availability to work up to 35 hours a week
